I made my first 100$ as Indie with GestioneShop, a productized maintenance service for Italian Shopify store owners.

My first $100 MRR came from Lifelog. It's a writing platform for creators and founders to develop a daily writing habit. Users sign up for a 1-month free trial, after which they start paying $10/m.

My first $100 came from my app Mogul! I made the app out of a personal need for a better way to remember things about people I met and I decided to put it on the app store for fun. People signed up but i never thought to charge for it. A few years later I decided to release a pro-plan ($5/mo) after I discovered IndieHackers and was inspired by the people in the community making money off of their projects. After a few months with no sales I decided to try something new and remove the free plan completely. It took a few months but I made my first $100 after a few subscriptions came in 🙂.

Many years ago I wrote a utility for the Mac called OptionSpace. It was like the command palette in your code editor/IDE, except it worked across all apps. I got it featured on the blog LifeHacker and it got picked up by a few other small blogs from there. It was a freemium model, but it converted enough that I made a few hundred dollars.
